Sorry, I just had to pick the most attractive title I could.

Alright, on to news. Wait! One thing first: just so you know, I am still as in love with Golden Sun as I ever was. I must admit, I was far too nervous to add my own work for Golden Sun III to DeviantArt last year. I think it's because I like the viewing of words better when they're on a pretty website such as my own. ^_^
I am done my first year of university, and it was certainly an experience. I enjoyed my second semester more than my first, probably because I had a hella awesome Music & Spirituality class this time around. My Liberal Studies class (I'm majoring in Liberal Studies) was even better than last semester because of my new prof, Janina. She was sharp as a razor's edge, and that usually helps me perform better in class. I also had two Creative Writing classes, Poetry & Short Fiction, which were decent. My worst class, surprisingly-yet-not-surprisingly, was Anthropology. The prof, despite being a character I recognized instantly and could get along with (an "islander" [noun]: a fantastic loosy-goosy hippie who at some point smoked POUNDS of ganja), was AWFUL at being a professor. She messed up our timetable constantly, was constantly asking her students for the day's lesson plan, and just in general had none of her wits about her at any given time. This kind of person I do NOT do well with, because I align with them.

Anyway (for the most part), school was cool. Got to know some more people, but no one I feel really close to yet. Ah well, it's first year after all!
But now it is summer, and I have plans. I have at least four projects "on file", so to speak, and I shall detail them here.
One: Apply for a job at Watermark Books. It's an awesome little bookstore downtown where I live, and I'd love to work there. If it doesn't work out, apply at the Ganges Tea Company. 'Cuz I love tea just as much as books.

Two: Work on publishing a children's book with a friend who can illustrate it. I wrote a ballad in my Poetry class this semester, and my prof actually urged me to publish it (it went straight to my head). So, after asking my friend if she could illustrate it, I will expand upon the story, which goes something like this [taken directly from a Facebook conversation]:

It's called "Tea & Trepidation"
and it's about a very anxious hermit living in the foothills of this great mountain
he's trying to be a better hermit, because all the other hermits are very calm and reflective, and much much wiser
and he gets a visit from these hobgoblins
which all have awesome names
and they teach him how to be a good hermit

Yes. Anyway! Onto the next one.
Three: Buy the iPhone SDK. Over the summer I want to learn how to write code and develop interfaces for the iPhone, so that at some point I can make an application for it. And of course, makes tons of moolah.

Four: Last but certainly, CERTAINLY not least, continue writing my Golden Sun: The Myth of Laerad plot. I'll be updating the site more often, so check back every once and a while!
To wrap things up, things are going well. Hope spring is treating you all nicely!
